Who We Are
Passage Education (dba Passage CDL School) is a professional CDL school operator located in North Texas. Passage CDL School is driven to empower students and instructors in commercial truck driving occupational careers. We aim to create an organization for instructors to positively impact the commercial transportation industry by establishing a partnership between certified instructors, commercial motor carriers, and post-secondary education providers through a network of value-based training facilities.

History
Passage Education was founded in 2022 with a commitment to student career success focused on addressing the growing demand for skilled and safety-conscious commercial drivers. Recognizing the pivotal role that professional truck drivers play in the transportation industry, Passage seeks to continuously develop as a distinguished commercial driver training institution. Our students gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on commercial driving experience to enable them to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and begin a successful career in the commercial truck driving industry.
Our mission is to develop first-in-class CDL training programs through partnership with professional educators and local operators to achieve superior student education results, benefiting local enterprise, workforce development, and improving the lives and careers of our students. Since our inception, Passage has been committed to providing a supportive learning environment, quality training facilities, and a curriculum designed to meet the highest industry standards. Passage’s commercial driver training programs produce highly skilled and responsible drivers, contributing to the overall success of the transportation industry.
CDL Instructors
Passage CDL School employs licensed and certified CDL Instructors that are experienced commercial driving experts. Our instructors are reliable, well-spoken, presentable, and capable of teaching students of all types with mixed learning abilities utilizing various teaching techniques for individual students. Our instructors possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate leadership by example providing students with valuable practical insights in the commercial transportation industry.
- Substantial CDL instructing experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds and at all skill levels, from very beginner to advanced
- Extensive over-the-road (OTR) driving experience hauling diverse cargo types to provide students with a wealth of applied knowledge and practical learning
Our lead instructor has 10+ years of experience as CDL instructor and commercial truck driver, instructing at multiple reputable CDL schools and working as an OTR commercial driver at large transportation companies such as Schneider and CR England. She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from California State University.
Facilities
Passage CDL School develops first in class educational facilities and utilizes premium equipment to promote instructional excellence and achieve best possible student learning outcomes. Our Sherman, TX campus is centrally located in close proximity to numerous reputable commercial driver employers and incorporates a private driving range on a multi-acre paved lot, indoor classrooms and administrative offices.
- Our classrooms provide students with in-person instruction covering all necessary commercial driving topics utilizing prepared slide decks, training modules, instructional videos, and practice tests.
- Our private driving range offers ample unobstructed paved driving space for students to gain their first hands-on experience operating a commercial vehicle and practice driving maneuvers.
- We integrate various public road driving routes throughout the Sherman-Denison metro area carefully planned from beginner to advanced as students progress their hands-on driving experience.
Equipment
Passage CDL School’s fleet employs exceptional commercial vehicles. Our fleet is well maintained up to date, properly insured, inspected and maintenance regularly ensuring safety and proper operations at all times. Passage CDL School utilizes:
- Truck-tractor combination vehicles equipped with air brakes
- Semi-truck dry-van trailers equipped with 5th wheel coupling system
